Daniel E. Hurst, DO, is a native of Utah, but considers himself a transplant to the Midwest. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Utah, he moved with his family to attend medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. Upon graduating from medical school in 2006, Dr. Hurst accepted a position as a radiology resident at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. During his residency, he served as a resident delegate to the ACR for the state of Illinois, as well as chief resident. Dr. Hurst was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2011. Following board certification and completion of his residency, he received additional training in a one-year breast imaging fellowship at the Susan G. Komen Breast Center, also in Peoria. He is proficient in all aspects of breast imaging and intervention. He is part of a multispecialty team of physicians, nurses, and technologists whose goal is early diagnosis of breast cancer with effective treatment and lifelong support. Dr. Hurst lives in Morton with his wife and four children, and enjoys being part of the community. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, travel, and spending time with his family.
