Dr. Gordon Cross is a board certified diagnostic radiologist who has been in practice for 25 years. Before coming to Peoria in 2006, he was the president of a group of 10 radiologists in Decatur, Illinois. Dr. Cross is a member of the American College of Radiology and RSNA. He interprets CT, US, X-ray and nuclear medicine studies. Dr. Cross performs arthrograms, hysterosalpingograms, FNA of thyroid, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and sentinal node injections. Active in women’s imaging, he performs breast biopsies with US and stereotactic guidance and needle localization of breast lesions, as well as interpretation of Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms. Currently, the medical director of Medical Imaging at Pekin Hospital, he also serves on the board of directors and is the president-elect of the medical staff at Pekin Hospital. Dr. Cross has five children and two grandchildren. He is an active youth leader in his church and has served on mission trips to Nicaragua and Uganda, and is planning to lead a team back to Uganda in the future. In his free time, Dr. Cross enjoys scuba diving, woodworking, reading, target shooting, and traveling with his family.
