Jan Namyslowski, MD, FISR, FCIRSE, graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. He initially trained as a resident in general surgery at Jewish Hospital and Medical Center (Interfaith Medical Center) in Brooklyn, NY. Subsequently, he moved to Boston, MA, where he completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Boston University Medical Center/Boston City Hospital, followed by a vascular/interventional radiology fellowship at Tufts University School of Medicine/New England Medical Center Hospitals. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology as well as in vascular and interventional radiology. In addition, he amassed substantial clinical experience as an emergency room attending physician and a surgical service hospitalist. He is currently an associate professor of clinical radiology at UICOMP. Prior to moving to Peoria in 2006, he was a faculty interventional radiologist at Tufts University and Indiana University Schools of Medicine. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed literature, authored and coauthored book chapters, and lectured nationally and internationally for many years. He is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe. He combines a strong drive to practice evidence-based medicine with the speed, efficiency, and excellence needed in today’s healthcare to provide patients with a truly clinical approach to the craft of vascular and interventional radiology. In his free time, he enjoys photography, travel, and skiing.
