Oncologic/ Body Imaging

Rebecca Miller Baggett, MD, grew up in the Mississippi River town of Muscatine, Iowa. She attended Western Illinois University, obtaining her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Biology, researching anatomy and movement in monkeys. A few years later, she attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. While in medical school she was involved in national organized medicine as served as Delegate to the American Medical Association and a Member of the House Coordinating Committee at the annual AMA meeting. She then accepted residency in Radiology at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. During residency, she remained active in organized medicine, serving as Chapter Representative to the American College of Radiology and on the Council of Membership and Advocacy for the Illinois State Medical Society. She was awarded Outstanding Preliminary Resident of the Year in 2009. During her senior year of residency, she received the American Women in Radiology Member-in-Training Award for Outstanding Research Presentation at the ARRS Meeting in 2013. She then completed a Fellowship in Oncologic Imaging with focus on Body and Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Upon finishing her training, she returned to central Illinois to work in private practice with a mission to provide high quality cancer imaging care. She continues to be a member of RSNA, AAWR, and AMA. She lives in Morton with her husband and their twin daughters. They enjoy boating on the Illinois River in the summers, scuba diving and all water sports and activities.
